Pumpkin Syrup πŸŽƒπŸ€ŽπŸ‚

This syrup screams cozy, fall, spice and all the cool air things.

I love keeping a jar in the fridge throughout the fall for homemade pumpkin spice lattes, iced coffee, cold brew, or even drizzling over pancakes and waffles. Basically, if it needs a little extra fall magic, this syrup belongs on it.

Pumpkin Syrup Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree

  • ΒΎ cup brown sugar

  • Β½ cup maple syrup

  • A few dashes of pumpkin pie spice

  • A pinch of salt

  • Cinnamon, to taste

How to Make Pumpkin Syrup

Add the water, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, maple syrup, pumpkin spice, salt, and cinnamon to a saucepan.

Whisk everything together and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have had a chance to come together.

Remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool completely.

Once cooled, transfer it to a clean glass jar or airtight container and store it in the refrigerator.

How to Use It

Add a splash (or a generous pour!) to your favorite coffee, cold brew, or latte. I especially love it with a little cream or milk for the ultimate cozy fall coffee.

You can also use it on:

  • Pancakes and waffles

  • French toast

  • Oatmeal

  • Ice cream

  • Apple desserts

  • Chai lattes

Tip: Give the syrup a good stir before using, as the pumpkin can settle slightly while it sits.

Make a batch, put on your favorite cozy fall playlist, and pretend you're spending the afternoon in Stars Hollow. β˜•πŸ‚

Tip #2: Use a GOOD maple syrup. Locally made is great. I even like the Kirkland brands. The cheaper ones you find in the regular grocery store, won’t quite do the flavors justice here.Β
